Here is the new updated YotaPhone

The Russian mobile broadband and smartphone manufacturer Yota had something to show off in their Press Conference for the Mobile World Congress trade show, where the company is here with the second generation YotaPhone, all updated and refreshed.

As we already know the kind of smartphones this Russian firm makes, this time around too we see the same technology coming to the markets. The new YotaPhone too features the two display of different kind on either sides of the phone. There is a usual capacitive touchscreen on the front and an improved full-touch EPD (Electronic Paper Display) screen on the back, where it is said to stay Always-On. Unlike its predecessors tech, the all new YotaPhones 4.7-inches e-ink EPD will come with higher resolution screen with greater pixels count, all compensating over a built-in light.

The internal specs list is limited at the moment, all we know is the YotaPhone is said to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a five-inches AMOLED display on the front and NFC (Near Field Communication) connectivity on board. Users read notifications and respond to mails, SMSs and even update their social media profiles from the new YotaPhones Always-On display, with out waking the colored display, beneath.

As far as its availability is concerned, the new YotaPhone will go up on sales in EMEA and Russia by the quarter fourth of this year, while United States and Asian markets will have to wait until next year.

"YotaPhone’s arrival on the market last year marked one of the first game changers in smartphones in many years. Yota Devices proved that there is an antidote to the always-dark smartphone screen," said Yota Devices Chief Executive Officer, Vlad Martynov.
